The annual meeting of the Industrial Association of Meat and Cured Meats will be held in Rome on June 15, 2023, at Palazzo Ripetta. The meeting, which will host the conference entitled “THE PROSPECTS OF THE CURED MEATS SUPPLY CHAIN, BETWEEN ECONOMIC CHANGES AND CHALLENGES OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT” will be an opportunity to deepen the current scenario of the sector, with the comment of recent production and consumption data and in light of the many challenges that the current year has already launched to companies.

During the event, two important researches commissioned by the Association will be presented: the first, by ISMEA – Institute of Services for the Agricultural Food Market, on the distribution of value along the supply chain, presented by Fabio del Bravo, Head of the Rural Development Services Department. The second, curated by Prof. Marco Frey – Professor of Economics and Business Management at the Sant’Anna University of Pisa and President of the UN Global Compact Network Italy, to take stock of the environmental, social and economic sustainability of delicatessen companies. The first part of the meeting will be closed by a speech by Francesco Pizzagalli, President of IVSI, on the next steps of the association’s path in the field of sustainability.
