ASSICA, Industrial Association of Meat and Cured Meats, is the national trade organization that represents the producers of cured meats (processed pork and beef products) and pork slaughtering companies. ASSICA’s activity ranges from the definition of an economic policy for the sector, to information and a support service for Associates in the economic, health, regulatory, legal and trade union fields.
Since 1946 ASSICA has supported the growth of companies, helping one of the historic sectors of the Italian agri-food scene to face the challenges of change as a protagonist, in Italy and in the world. From its Milan headquarters and its offices in Rome and Brussels, ASSICA also collaborates with national and international public institutions to define a regulatory framework that favours the development of the sector.
ASSICA provides a preview of information and focus on economic and regulatory developments, as well as supporting member companies on a daily basis with a timely business assistance service. In close collaboration with the Italian Cured Meat Promotion Institute and other companies in the delicatessen sector, it promotes the image of the sector in Italy and around the world.
